Created by FrankieDudeUltimate, Tac Nayn or "Eater of Souls" is considered the twin of the Nyan Cat, sometimes known as Nyan Cat's nightmare or an evil version of him. He is one of the strongest known enemies of Nyan Cat as of 2023, thus being his nemesis.

Of course, with a body made out of Belgian waffle I can’t help but wonder, maybe Tac Nayn isn’t all that bad?	”

Tacnayn, (pronounced Tac-9, or in his native tongue a complex series of clicks and shrill cries) his very name brings children to tears. Tacnayn's return heralds the end of reality as we know it; within the next year the seas will boil and skulls will rain down from blood-filled clouds. (Parents remember to keep your children indoors for the skull rain thing.) Every 22079460347 years Tacnayn's universe, the reverse-verse, merges with our own in a battle for reality supremacy! Donning the evil belgian-waffle armor Tacnayn cannot be harmed by our puny mortal weapons; only his arch-nemesis, NYAN CAT is powerful enough to tear through his golden, delicious hide. So, remember to keep your eye out for blood red clouds and boiling seas; just stay in those days and make yourself some hot-pockets.   Hide.

In games related to Nyan Cat the enemies are often dogs, spaceships or other things that may harm other Nyans, whereas in Tac Nayn fangames the enemies are often other, happy Nyans (see Tac Nayn: Demolition Nayn)

It is also seen that Tac can increase the number of lives he has by absorbing clones of himself.

He is the main antagonist of most pieces involving him & is usually seen fighting with Nyan Cat solo, whereas Nyan Cat often brings friends. This implies Tac Nayn does not see a reason to work with anyone as he prides himself in his own strength.

• Tac Nayn's gender is male.
• Tac Nayn is considered the villain of “Nyan Cat Space Journey” and the antagonist of most fan-media relating to him.
• Despite the hatred Tac received from fans who watched "NYAN BATTLE" and "Nyan Cat Falls in Love Again", Tac Nayn still has a large fanbase.
• It is rumored that Tac Nayn was the one who fired the comet or even was the comet that hit Mrs. Nyan Cat. It was also rumored that Tac Nayn was aiming for Nyan Cat, not Mrs. Nyan Cat.
• On Nyan.cat, Tac Nayn earned the nickname "The Eater of Souls".
• There was a bug on Nyan.cat that misplaced his greyscale rainbow appear in the center of the screen, overlapping his sprite, and his bursts (skulls) fly and float the wrong way. This was fixed in the 2019 redo.
