Oscillo-nyan is a OC created by LHKDAnimations, and apart of LHKDAnimations' Nyan OC Universe. Oscillo-nyan uses xe/they pronouns.
Appearance[]
Oscillo-nyan appears as a robotic variant of a normal cat, having dark grey "fur" and a screen replacing their face. Their eyes, nose and mouth glow a bright green alongside dark green blush.
Their torso is a oscilloscope, a device used to project sounds into waves and other shapes. The oscilloscope's base color is gray alongside a charcoal screen with a green line projected on the said screen. Next to the screen are two long lights with buttons.
Story[]
A robot created around 2018 to 2019 due to the Nyan cat species (in my OC universe, at least) being practically extinct. A group of humans have tried to recreate the species, however only resulting in defects.
With no other option left, they created a robot replica, hoping it at least makes up for their absence, using a old oscilloscope as a base. It was a success, a robot replica of the feline came to life, curious and innocent.
However xe couldn't just be out in the public like this, or else other people would KNOW it's a robot! Costume after costume, Oscillo-nyan realized xe was impersonating other (potentially deceased?) nyans, made to be a show for others to see. Although Oscillo-nyan didn't like this concept, they kept on with the whole thing, just to make their creator happy.
A year later, it's 2020. Oscillo-nyan started to act weirdly, refusing to put a disguise on by their creators, and feeling sad for other felines and people around xem when it does eventually get forced on. They felt bad, bad that they had to see a fake item from a reality they wanted. Xe—deep down—wanted to make people happy. Xe counts as a living nyan, right..? Xe exists, so why should xe hide any longer?
One day, Oscillo-nyan encountered their creator, asking why xe has to hide from the public. Their creator admits that while they didn't want to do it in the first place, they were afraid of revealing xem too early. Their creator didn't specify other than that, but for a more personal reason, their creator had a feud with a few other people, and had created them to get their approval.. Only now did Oscillo-nyan realize that didn't make sense a few months later, as they didn't see those three specific people.
Oscillo-nyan continued with the act, until Xe started acting rebellious, refusing to go out into the public with a disguise on. One night, they developed a plan to go outside for the first time without looking like another cat. During their exploration, they encounter a nyan cat with white fur, a pancake torso, and a leaf on her head. Maybe.. Nyan cats aren't extinct after all. The other Nyan cat offers Oscillo-nyan to live with her since xe seems pretty lost, and of course.. xe accepts her.
The robot is still missing to this day.
Abilities[]
Hologram Projection[]
Due to Oscillo-nyan being a robot replica, xe is able to project a stream from their tail, similar to a hologram. Oscillo-nyan's creators can adjust and change the color of the stream to their liking if Oscillo-nyan is under a disguise.
